What you would do in this role

  • Understand the technical and business intricacies of the integrated systems and solutions we provide to our clients, including devices, IT infrastructure, and software interfaces
  • Collaborate with team members, partners, and clients and our internal systems to plan projects and purchasing, schedule team members, and lead all activities related to installation projects
  • Serve your team of two or three technical installers to ensure they have what they need to be successful every day (equipment, technical guidance, resources, support, etc.), and fully own the morale and success of your team
  • Examine and inspect work progress and equipment and visit job sites to verify that SecurAlarm standards and project specifications are being met at a micro level
  • Leverage data in a smart way to continuously improve long-term forecasting and profit margins on projects, identify trends, create efficiencies, etc.
  • Develop meaningful relationships with clients and team members

Job requirements

  • Basic technical knowledge of networks, IT infrastructure, electrical theory, software interfaces, and the ability to understand blueprints 
  • Authorization to work in the US 
  • Must possess a valid driver's license, can drive company vehicle, and be insurable under fleet policy 
  • Must be able to pass background screening and drug test (including marijuana) as our Security License with the State of Michigan requires thorough background checks and places certain restrictions on hiring. 
  • Must be able to see, hear, speak, and write clearly to communicate with team members and/or other clients. 
  • Manual dexterity is required for frequently reaching, climbing, and lifting of small to large objects, and operating construction equipment. 
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule to meet client needs. 
  • Ideal but not required: Knowledge of construction life cycles; fire and building codes such as NFPA 72 and Michigan building code; general knowledge of IT infrastructure; project management skills and experience; and/or knowledge of integrated systems, access control, video, fire alarms and security systems and devices
